SINGAPORE - The number of Covid-19 cases linked to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) cluster has grown to 16 as at Saturday (May 1).
The cluster emerged following the diagnosis on Tuesday (April 27) of a nurse who works in a general ward.

A fully-vaccinated nurse from TTSHtested positive for Covid-19 on April 27. The 46-year-old Filipino woman developed a cough, sore throat and body aches, and sought medical treatment at TTSH.
She was deployed at Ward 9D, a general ward.

The hospital has stepped up clinical surveillance of all inpatients who may develop fever and ARI (acute respiratory infection) symptoms. As a precautionary measure, all patients and staff in other TTSH wards will also be tested for Covid-19, including those with no symptoms.

Another eight patients and staff have been diagnosed. They are linked to the nurse (Case 62541), and were detected from proactive testing of patients and staff in the affected ward, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday afternoon (April 29).
