The National Military Family Association announces the appointment of
General Hawk Carlisle, USAF (Ret) and
Jack White to its Board of Governors. With five decades of military service between them and extensive professional expertise, Carlisle and White have demonstrated clear leadership and commitment to the military family community.
General Herbert “Hawk” Carlisle is a 39-year Air Force veteran and command pilot. He currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). Prior to his retirement from military service, Carlisle’s last assignment was as commander, Air Combat Command at Langley Air Force Base.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe in December published an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal expounding on the threat China poses to not just the United States, but also the world.
While Ratcliffe explained that intelligence indicates that China “intends to dominate [the world] economically, militarily and technologically,” his piece focused on China’s underhanded economic and technological activity.
Although these aspects are vital for U.S. policymakers and the defense industry to understand, China’s open commitment to a military buildup cannot be understated. Policymakers and the defense industry must be acutely aware of China’s naval expansion and maritime activities if the United States is to maintain its global leadership position.

Until recently, Lord served as the first Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (A&S), leading the Department of Defense’s personnel, policies and processes involved in Pentagon acquisition, contracts, logistics, and the defense industrial base. At The Chertoff Group she will provide counsel regarding defense programs, homeland security and the protection of critical infrastructure.

Marine Corps Times first reported news of the Marine littoral regiment in January 2020. Through experimentation and wargaming, top Corps leaders are looking to the new formation specifically to support the dispersed expeditionary advanced base operations.
