Canadian military can t provide parliament with information on how it is responding to sexual misconduct David Pugliese, Ottawa Citizen © Provided by Ottawa Citizen Canada s Minister of National Defence Harjit Sajjan has a departmental plan for addressing sexual misconduct in the Canadian Forces, but critics say it lacks detail. The Canadian Forces can’t provide parliament with any details on the actions it has taken in response to sexual misconduct nor the number of military personnel who have undergone training to prevent such incidents. But it noted in its latest departmental plan presented to parliament that in 2019-2020 there were 356 reported incidents of sexual misconduct, up from 256 in 2018-2019. The Department of National Defence could not say how many of its civilian employees reported incidents of sexual harassment.
