Through his Twitter account, the minister recalled the deceptions of the northern representative at the United Nations in 1961 when he lied to hide that his government was the perpetrator of the invasion of Playa Giron. On April 15, 1961, warplanes with false Cuban acronyms simultaneously attacked the San Antonio de los Baños air base, the Ciudad Libertad airstrip, in the capital, and the airport in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba.
