Get ready for entrepreneurship, youth told
ABU DHABI, 12 days ago In the future, everyone will be an entrepreneur – be they doctors, accountants, or anything else – because entrepreneurship is a key component of the future, said Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE’s Minister of Cabinet Affairs. He was delivering a keynote speech titled ‘Opportunities and Values in the Next 50 Years’ as part of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations titled ‘New Opportunities’. The virtual third edition of the Majlis took place on March 14 under the theme Thriving in the Next Normal, where discussions shed light on future opportunities, outlining the role the youth can play in the UAE’s plans to drive sustainable development, which, in turn, would require working to expand young people’s skills and empowering them to be the architects and leaders of the future.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has awarded the offshore contract for work on the ongoing development of its Umm Al Dalkh field in the Persian Gulf to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC).
Organised by the Education Affairs Office at the Crown Prince Court in Abu Dhabi, the 2021 Majlis welcomes 36 speakers. Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will deliver a special message to youth as a closing keynote of the event.
The virtual sessions of the event will feature 12 federal government ministers, six high-ranking federal and local government officials, and numerous international experts in various disciplines related to the main topics of the Majlis.

Prior to the merger, state holding company ADQ held a 32 per cent stake in Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange-listed NMDC and was the majority owner (through its Senaat subsidiary) of NPCC. It is effectively a reverse takeover, with NMDC issuing mandatory convertible bonds for NPCC s entire share capital, which are being converted into 575 million ordinary shares, or 69.7 per cent of the combined entity. The business will maintain its market listing.
