Sanwo-Olu Lauds NNPC, Total, Others over Oxygen Plant

Peter Uzoho Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commended Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and their operating partners, Sapetro, CNOOC, and Prime, over their donation of a medical oxygen plant to the state. Sanwo-Olu gave the commendation while inaugurating the facility sited at the Gbagada General Hospital, Gbagada, Lagos State. He said the plant which has the capacity to produce 100 bottles of oxygen per day was the biggest of such plant to be inaugurated in the state. Sanwo-Olu said: “I also want to commend Total/NNPC and their partners for putting together this Oxygen plant here. I have been informed that this facility has the capacity to produce a hundred bottles of oxygen per day. It is much bigger than the one commissioned earlier on.

COVID-19: NNPC-IPPG Kick-Starts Support

In line with its commitment to the Nigeria oil and gas industry intervention initiative on the COVID-19 pandemic, being championed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG) in partnership with NNPC has made an initial donation of 5,000 protective suits and goggles / eyewear; 2,500 -FFP2 / N95 face masks, 500,000 protective surgical face masks and four brand new and fully-kitted Toyota Hiace Ambulances to support the national effort at mitigating the impact and curbing the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.. The donation, which was made at an event held in Lagos, is the first in a series of donations which will culminate in the provision of additional medical equipment, grassroots sensitisation and medical infrastructure as part of IPPG’s support of the Federal Government’s effort on the COVID-19 pandemic.
