Corona mortality rate on the rise July 27, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Alarm bells have begun to ring across the country with a staggering number of 3,752 more people testing positive for the deadly virus, along with rising deaths of 32 during the last 24 hours, the highest since May 21. The National Covid positivity ratio during the past 24 hours boiled down to a whooping 7.51 percent. The last time more cases were reported was on May 21, when 4,007 people tested positive for the virus. With the addition of these infections, Pakistan’s total number of cases since the pandemic began has reached 1,008,446.According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 49,947 tests were conducted the last 24 hours, which translates into a positivity rate of 7.5 per cent. Thirty two people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 23,048.
