One man seized control of plane from another just before New Hampshire crash
A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board says a small plane that crashed, killing one man and injuring a Maine man, descended into a power line.

CHARLESTOWN, N.H. A small plane that crashed in New Hampshire, killing one man and injuring another, was flying low and descended into a power line after one of the men seized control of the aircraft from the other, according to a preliminary report released Wednesday by the National Transportation Safety Board.
The men were flying in a Bailey Dragonfly, a single-engine, ultralight plane often used to tow gliders, on July 10. The plane crashed in Morningside Flight Park in Charlestown. The report said the pilot survived and that the other man, a pilot-rated passenger, died.

TRUCKEE, Calif. (AP) Six deaths have been confirmed in the crash of a twin-engine jet near a golf course in the Lake Tahoe area, authorities said Wednesday.
The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said all those aboard the Bombardier CL 600 died when it crashed Monday in a heavily wooded area near the Ponderosa Golf Course in Truckee, near the Northern California border with Nevada. Authorities initially said three people died in the crash.
The identities of the victims weren t released pending DNA identification. Nobody on the ground was injured.
The aircraft went down several blocks from a runway as the pilot was trying to land at Truckee-Tahoe Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Credit firehouse.com Arizona Bureau of Land Management officials said the plane went down as it was doing aerial reconnaissance and helping direct aviation resources over the lightning-caused blaze. The report says a couple from Wikieup went to the crash site near their home and were told by personnel with the Bureau of Land Management that a wing fell off the plane before it crashed. 62-year-old retired Fire Chief Jeff Piechura was killed in the crash, along with 48-year-old pilot Matthew Miller. Piechura worked for the Coronation National Forest. Miller was a fire pilot contracted by the U.S. Forest Service.
