The plane, a Bombardier CL 600 aircraft, slammed into a wooded area alongside the second hole of Truckee’s Ponderosa Golf Course on Reynolds Way, a few blocks from the airport. It came to a halt between two homes, witnesses said, and a small fire that gave off thick black smoke was extinguished shortly afterward.
