Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Takeoff From Longmont Airport
A plane was forced to make an emergency landing in a field shortly after taking off from an airport in Longmont.
Boulder County Communications was notified of an aircraft crash just west of the runway at the Vance-Brand Municipal Airport in Longmont on Sunday morning (July 18) at approximately 8:40 a.m.

As per an official press release from the Boulder County Sheriff s Office, the plane had just taken off from the airport and was occupied by two people - a 69-year-old male, who was piloting the aircraft, and a 62-year-old female passenger.

ELGIN, Minn. – Corey James Adcock, 40, of Victoria County, Texas, is dead after a crop duster crashed Monday afternoon in Wabasha County.
It happened just after 3 pm near Elgin. The National Transportation Safety Board says a Robinson R-44 helicopter went down, taking out some live power lines on 75th Street NE. The pilot, a man estimated by authorities to be in his mid to late-30s was killed.
The crash started a fire but Elgin firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.

The victim has been identified as Corey James Adcock, 40, of Victoria Co. Texas.
The Robinson R-44 knocked down some live power lines as it went down before erupting in flames.
The cause of the crash remains unknown.
The FAA, National Transportation Safety Board, and Wabasha Co. Sheriff’s Department are investigating.

ANGWIN, Calif. (AP) Three people killed last week when a small airplane crashed and burned in a Napa County vineyard have been identified as members of the same family, authorities said Monday.
A pilot and two passengers were aboard when the plane went down Friday in the community of Angwin, about 55 miles (88.5 kilometers) north of San Francisco.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the pilot was 73-year-old Robert Nicholas of Murrieta, California. Also killed were Nicholas daughter, Shauna Waite, and her husband, James Waite. They were both 37 years old and lived in Arlington, Virginia.
