If you have unwanted or expired meds in the medicine cabinet, get rid of them. Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back day, a day where you can get rid of unwanted prescriptions or over the counter medicines anonymously, and with no questions asked.
Major Jeff Connor of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department tells the Big Z getting prescription drugs out of the house and off the street is the goal.

The drop off times for Saturday are 10am to 2pm at the parking lot on 2nd Street behind the County Administration Building in downtown Edwardsville. Several local departments including Alton, East Alton, Bethalto, Edwardsville, Granite City, and Roxana have drop boxes available anytime.
