HÀ NAM The centrally-run hospital of Bạch Mai has constructed a 500-bed temporary hospital for COVID-19 treatment in northern Hà Nam Province.
The facility, set up in Phủ Lý City in just 24 hours, will treat patients with severe conditions and can test 10,000 samples a day with help from the hospital in the capital. It was ready to receive patients on Saturday morning.
It has 500 beds including 30 intensive care beds, equipped with EMCO and breathing machines to assist severe cases.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Health confirmed 14 more COVID-19 cases, including four local infections, on Friday afternoon.
Two of the four community cases are natives of northern Ha Nam Province and have been admitted to Ha Nam General Hospital while the two others are workers at Bac Thang Long Industrial Park in Hanoi and being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Hotel employee tests positive for coronavirus after contact with Indian experts

A hotel employee in the northern Yen Bai Province has tested positive for the coronavirus after making contact with a group of Indian experts quarantined at the hotel.
The 63-year-old man made contact with the group as they came to the Nhu Nguyet 2 hotel on April 18. He has been quarantined since.
After testing positive, he was transferred to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi. Further tests are being done by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for confirmation.
