New Delhi: Scores of Delhi University teachers and students have appealed to the administration to scrap the final semester examinations, which are scheduled to commence on June 7, in light of the deaths of 50 professors and teachers of the varsity and its affiliated colleges due to the coronavirus.
Delhi University on May 20 postponed semester exams for final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students for the second time and announced that these will now commence on June 7.
The party said that since the Chhattisgarh police filed the first FIR in the 'toolkit' matter on May 19 and is currently investigating the case, the Delhi police doesn’t have jurisdiction to probe the issue.
