Offaly GAA club to take part in mental health awareness programme

The 25 clubs who will participate in Lidl Ireland’s new One Good Club™ mental health awareness programme will commence their activities next Monday, March 1. Among them is Offaly club Clara.
Lidl’s One Good Club™ is a five-step youth mental health awareness programme for local clubs, developed in partnership with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) and Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health.
Details of the programme were revealed at the 2020 Lidl National Football League launch – with clubs chosen to participate identified following the receipt of over 900 nominations from local communities.

Tullamore shopper dashes through the store and fills up for Christmas

Christmas came early this year for one Tullamore shopper at the annual Lidl Trolley Dash competition.
Pictured at Lidl s sixth and most successful annual Trolley Dash which raised €310,000 for Jigsaw this year at Lidl on the Church Road in Tullamore were customer, Kieran Kneafsey with his wife Margaret and store manager Aoife McDermott
Kieran managed to grab €476.99 worth of goodies making for a Merry Lidl Christmas .
Kieran was one of 167 Lidl shoppers across the country, who won the opportunity to dash around their local store in a Supermarket Sweep style competition. Each winner had two minutes to fill their trolley with as many quality Lidl products as possible from festive flavoured soups to mince pies to turkeys.

Pictured at Lidl’s 6th and most successful annual Trolley Dash which raised €310,000 for Jigsaw this year, Lidl Kildare customer, Carmel Burke from Newbridge managed to grab €247.57 worth of goodies making for a Merry Lidl Christmas.
