Representatives of the Publisind Federation are protesting on Wednesday in front of the Government s seat against the freezing of salaries and bonuses, the non-indexation of pensions with the value of inflation, as well as for a minimum salary increase correlated with the price increase, according to AGERPRES. We do not ask for salary increases! The Romanian Government must respect its own normative acts assumed at Executive level and approved in the Romanian Parliament. We are public sector employees and this must not be a stigma! We cannot negotiate our salaries as we cannot refuse restrictions, prohibitions and incompatibilities imposed by law. The proposals of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection regarding the change of the law on flexible work turn the employees into puppets at the permanent disposal of the employers, argue the representatives of the National Trade Union Bloc (BNS).
The trade union organization expressed concerns about LabMin Raluca Turcan s announced plans to amend OUG No. 132/2020 so as to extend the measure indefinitely, by including the possibility for the employer to give the employee short notice as to whether he will call him to work the next day and by granting the employer the right to cut the employee s daily, weekly or monthly work schedule by up to 80 percent.

The problems facing employees in the judiciary and the penitentiary system were discussed by the Minister of Justice, Stelian Ion, with representatives of several trade unions.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Justice sent to AGERPRES, Stelian Ion met on Wednesday morning with representatives of the BNS (National Trade Union Block) and PUBLISIND (Federation of Trade Unions of Public Administration), including the Penitentiary Police, clerks, auxiliary staff from prosecutor s offices and courts, as well as probation counselors.
The union leaders presented the main problems to the Minister, and the Minister appreciated their availability for a direct and constructive approach, the same source mentions.
