A Justice of the Supreme Court and former sole commissioner for judgement debt Commission, Yaw Appau says despite several attempts by various governments to curb corruption, the canker only gets worse by the day.
In his address at a leadership dialogue organized by the centre for social justice, he outlined eleven recommendations which included parliament intensifying its role in the operation of the consolidated funds as a measure in the fight against corruption.
He further urged the media to hold all duty bearers accountable without fear and favour but advised it is done constructively.
He also suggested that all political party manifestos must be geared towards the attainment of national goals set by the National Development Planning Commission.

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs (MoPA), Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has called for another look at the composition of the membership of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) to build the confidence and trust of the people in policy documents it produces on national development.
According to him, the composition of the NDPC had become a source of worry that could trigger mistrust in the commission’s work and recommendations.
Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, however, said a balanced representation would ensure that a long-term national development plan by the commission would become a source document for all governments to ensure sustained development.
Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs (MoPA) has called for a second look at the composition of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) for it to engender trust and confidence of Ghanaians in the policies it produces for national development.
According to him, if there was a long-term National Development Plan that was crafted by the commission, such national policy must become a source document around which all governments must fashion out their development agenda.
