That will need to be confirmed by crews that travel to the area. The Cumberland County Sheriff s Office said the severe weather hit about 3:15 p.m. local time. Emergency crews reported minor injuries from the storm. No one was taken to the hospital. Pleasant Hill Elementary, Fletcher House, and the Community House sustained some damage. Damage assessments were ongoing Thursday.

He said he saw a tornado and started screaming as it tore metal off the building across the road from where he was. I had a bunch of kids over here in the right-hand parking lot, he said. I started screaming at them and all my buses were loaded, I couldn t get the kids off the school buses so they had to ride through it . It was terrifying, that s for sure.

NWS report: Three tornadoes hit Tennessee last week, largest was on ground for 22 miles Rachel Wegner, Nashville Tennessean A preliminary report shows the path of three tornadoes that ripped through Tennessee on March 25, the National Weather Service in Nashville said.  According to the report:  An EF-2 that passed through Wayne, Lewis and Lawrence county carved a 22.3 mile path and was 350 yards wide.  An EF-1 that touched down in Rutherford County was on the ground for 2.2 mile and was 100 yards wide.  The EF-0 that struck Wilson County traveled for 3.2 miles and was 75 yards wide.  We meant to share these last week, but the weather got a tad busy!
