MASSENA â As fluffy snowflakes drifted down from the sky and laid a new white blanket on the ground Saturday, individuals and families took advantage of the wintry weather to enjoy skiing and snowshoeing at the Nicandri Nature Center.
The National Weather Service in Burlington, Vt., on Friday issued a winter weather advisory, with 6 to 8 inches of snow forecasted for Massena â perfect for the skiing and snowshoeing enthusiast, and a great opportunity to enjoy some outside fun in a COVID-19 world that limited recreational activities.
The trails were closed Friday because of the small amount of snow on the ground. But snow wasnât an issue Saturday.
