SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Rain has come to end across the ArkLaTex after a wet last few days. Rain totals of nearly 6 inches were recorded in some areas with most spots seeing at least an inch to 2 inches. Here are some rain totals since Sunday across the area courtesy of the National Weather Service in Shreveport.
NW LOUISIANA
Flash Flood Watch for portions of Arkansas.Louisiana and Texas,
including the following areas, in Arkansas, Columbia, Lafayette,
Miller and Union. In Louisiana, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo,
Caldwell, Claiborne, De Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln,
Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River, Sabine, Union, Webster and
Winn. In Texas, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin,
Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Red River,
Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Upshur and Wood. Through Wednesday morning
across portions of the region resulting in saturated soils.
Additional rainfall totals of near 2 to 3 inches, with isolated
higher amounts will be possible through early Wednesday. Flooding may occur in urban and poor drainage areas. Heavy
Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Part of Shreveport Region
Southern Webster Parish
This warning is in effect until noon today.
A severe thunderstorm is moving into the area right now. It is 8 miles south of Bossier City, moving northeast at 30 mph. We could see wind gusts of up to 60 mph. This storm might also include quarter size hail.
There could be hail damage to cars. There is also a chance we could see some damage to roofs from the wind.
Communities included in this warning are Shreveport, Bossier City, Minden, Haughton, Ringgold, Sibley, Doyline, Dubberly, Dixie Inn, Heflin, Eastwood, Jamestown, Curtis, Fillmore, Bodcau, Plum Orchard Landing, Koran, Gilark, Noles Landing and Lake Bistineau North.
