A strong wind warning remains in force for the land areas of Northeastern and Southern parts of Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mananuca Group, Lau and Lomaiviti Group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and Northeastern and Southwestern parts of Vanua Levu.
According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning, a high pressure system to the far south of Fiji directs a fresh to strong southeast wind flow over the group.

New Delhi, July 1 Severe heat wave condition will continue in the national capital, Haryana and west Rajasthan for the next six-seven days with possibility of the mercury breaching 40 degrees Celsius everyday.
Lack of rainfall and hot winds blowing from Rajasthan was behind the severe weather condition, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
On Thursday, the maximum temperature will hover around 42 degrees Celsius in Delhi, the IMD said.
A day after the severe heat wave gripped the city with mercury rising to 43.5 degrees Celsius, seven notches above the normal and the highest this year, the IMD said the minimum temperature registered on Thursday morning at 31.7 degrees was also four notches above normal.

A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers remains over Fiji.
The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says the trough is gradually moving eastwards and is expected to clear from the group by tonight.
The forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group, expect occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over the eastern and interior parts of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
Elsewhere, cloudy periods with brief afternoon or evening showers.
