AGARTALA: Four Bangladesh-trained Tripura militants surrendered to the security forces in the State on Thursday after they fled from their camps across the border on January 31, police said.
A senior police official said that the four National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) extremists Sethi Debbarma (20), Rajib Debbarma (18), Bisharam Reang Lalong (21) and Zawmina Reang (27) fled from their camps at Bagaichari under Rangamati district of southeast Bangladesh. Senior police officials are now interrogating the four militants, who hail from three Tripura districts.

Agartala, Feb 11 : Four Bangladesh-trained Tripura militants on Thursday surrendered to the security forces in the state after they fled from their camps across the border on January 31, police said.
A senior police official said that the four National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) extremists Sethi Debbarma (20), Rajib Debbarma (18), Bisharam Reang Lalong (21) and Zawmina Reang (27) fled from their camps at Bagaichari under Rangamati district of southeast Bangladesh.
Senior police officials are now interrogating the four militants, who hail from three Tripura districts.

Agartala, Feb 9 (UNI) A local court in Sepahijala district of West Tripura sent three collaborators of banned militant outfit National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) to two days police custody yesterday.
The collaborators of the proscribed outfit were arrested from Takarjala area on February 7 last based on intelligence inputs.
Inspector General (Law and Order) Arindam Nath said the accused were identified as Prasenjit Debbarma, Ramu Debbarma and Rathindra Debbarma.

Agartala, Jan 22 : Tripura police busted a nexus of monetary transactions between the militants and the contractors, and arrested four persons, police said on Thursday.
A senior police officer said that the police and Tripura State Rifles (TSR) troopers, acting on an intelligence report on Wednesday, arrested four persons hours before the transaction of Rs 15 lakh to the banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) extremists. A team of police and TSR personnel led by sub-inspector Ajit Debbarma of Raishyabari police station under Dhalai district (in eastern Tripura) arrested the three persons along with Rs 15 lakh hours before they handing over the money to the NLFT rebels.
