Over the past year we’ve shared some of the adorable animals being looked after by the National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford who were hoping to find their forever homes. We thought you’d like to know what happened to them so here’s an update from some of their new families:
Cinders and Smokey the kittens “Hello, we thought we’d send a couple of photos to show how well Cinders and Smokey are settling into their new home. They seem to love it. They have a couple of very lively playtimes with the kids for an hour or so each day and are super curious and desperate to find out what’s behind each door in the house though, so far, we’re keeping them in my office and the hall, stairs and landing.
The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) in Watford has several long-stay residents – dogs, cats and rabbits - hoping to find their forever homes this year. All dogs and cats from the NAWT are medically checked by a vet; vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered; given an individual training plan and four free weeks of Petplan insurance. Scroll through this page and if you can give any of these animals a loving home, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange a visit:
Fudge the dog
Fudge Hello, I’m Fudge. I’m six-years-old and came to the NAWT four years ago when I reacted grumpily to a child.
A SKITTISH stray cat who was frightened of people when he was found abandoned is now “blossoming in confidence” after being rehomed by animal lovers. Perry the puss was brought to the attention of National Animal Welfare Trust, in Little Clacton, by local residents, who had become concerned for his wellbeing. The black and white cat had been roaming the streets of Tendring for a while, before eventually being taking in by the non-profit organisation in the summer. Unclaimed, Perry was given medical attention and continued to be meticulously cared for by the trust’s dedicated team of workers and volunteers.
