SEBI penalises 2 brokerages in NSE Co-Location case

Mumbai, April 16 : Capital market regulator SEBI has fined brokerage firms, PRB Securities Private Ltd and CPR Capital Services, in the NSE Co-Location matter for violation of norms.
The regulator has imposed a total fine of Rs 6 lakh on the PRB Securities and Rs 12 lakh on CPR Capital Services.
The SEBI said that it had received multiple complaints pertaining to allegations of malpractices with respect to the co-location facility being provided by the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (NSE).
In the wake of allegations of preferential access to Tick-byTick (TBT) data feed given by the NSE to certain trading members (TMs), the matter was taken up for investigation by the SEBI.

The groupâs flagship Adani Enterprises Ltd., gas supplier Adani Total Gas Ltd. and power distributor Adani Transmission Ltd. may get included in MSCI Inc.âs country benchmark after the index providerâs semi-annual review of its gauges in May, according to broker Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd. and independent research provider Smartkarma. Adani Green Energy Ltd. and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. are already there.
