Southbound traffic on I-75 was shut down for several hours from mile marker 210 (Fruitville Road) to exit 207 (Bee Ridge Road). Officials said the roads were cleared early Friday morning.  In a separate incident in Manatee County, a 73-year-old man riding a bicycle was involved in a fatal accident.  According to FHP, a 19-year-old Bradenton man driving a pickup truck was traveling east on 44th Avenue East at 4:30 p.m. Thursday when the 73-year old man attempted to make a right turn from the center lane, into the truck s path.  The truck collided with the man and his bike, pushing him into the left turn lane. Officials pronounced the 73-year-old man dead at the scene.
