Two people in their 30s have been charged with drug crimes in Aylesbury. A 30-year-old man from Luton and a 38-year-old man from Aylesbury, were both arrested just after 1pm on Wednesday, February 10. This is part of the Aylesbury Stronghold - a regional operation to reduce crime in the area. In a Facebook post that was published by Thames Valley Police Aylesbury Vale on February 10, they said: “Following the arrest of one of these individuals found to be in possession of class A, officers have then gained entry into a related address making two further arrests linked to the county line supply of drugs.
Two males have been charged with drug-related crimes in Buckingham. Matushan Vasanthan, of Gardenia Avenue, Luton, 19, and a 17-year-old boy of no fixed address, were arrested in the town in the afternoon of Friday, February 5. A third individual, a 25-year-old man from Aylesbury, has been released on bail whist the investigation continues. It happened between Jan 17 and Jan 20 Residents in a quiet Bucks village have been scammed into ‘handing over large sums of money’ to fake police officers according to Thames Valley Police. Between January 17 and January 20, TVP were alerted of the con by those who live in Newton Longville near Milton Keynes, after several members of the public were purporting to be police officers. It has not been reported on how many people have been tricked into the scam, and the amount of money that has been stolen has not been revealed. In a statement that was published on Thames Valley Police Aylesbury Vale’s Facebook page, they said: “We have had two reports over the last three days of persons purporting to be police officers calling members of the public in the Newton Longville area.
PCSOs have been patrolling a specific area of Aylesbury following several reports of anti-social behaviour. Several officers were out on the streets of Fairford Leys in the evening of Thursday, January 21 as well as Friday, January 22. However, despite the increase of PCSOs, residents are still expressing their concerns due to a rise of anti-social behaviour within the area. In a Facebook post that was published by Thames Valley Police Aylesbury Vale on January 22, residents in Fairford Leys are being urged to supply them with footage of the culprits. They said: “The West Neighbourhood Team are stepping up their patrols following on from concerns you have raised regarding anti-social behaviour in Fairford Leys.
