Picture: Google A man who was arrested in a murder investigation is set to be questioned for a further 36 hours. Officers from Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit investigating a murder in Stantonbury, Milton Keynes, have managed to get a warrant to further question the 21-year-old in custody. Usually, police have 24 hours to charge or release suspects after they have been arrested – but they can apply to hold them for up to 36 or 96 hours if they are suspected of a serious crime, for example, murder. It comes after officers were called to reports of a fight in Walshs Manor just before 3am on New Years’ Day (1/1) and found two men with serious injuries.
