The Thames Valley District School Board has announced positive cases of COVID-19 coming out of both Davenport Public School and John Wise Public School.
The TVDSB report 2 more cases at Davenport in Aylmer bringing the total to 4 active cases, with an outbreak declared as a result. A single case of COVID-19 was reported at John Wise Public School in St. Thomas.
The positive cases were confirmed by Southwestern Public Health and Thames Valley immediately notified staff, and parents and guardians of all students at both schools.
SWPH is currently investigating the cases and is in the process of identifying close contacts.
LONDON, ONT. The Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) and London District Catholic School Board (LDCSB) are reporting a combined four new COVID-19 cases. The TVDSB is reporting two new cases at White Oaks Public School in London and one new case at Glendale High School in Tillsonburg. Meanwhile the LDCSB is reporting one case of COVID-19 at St. Anne’s Catholic Elementary School in St. Thomas. All staff and parents/guardians at the schools have been notified. The health unit will be contacting parents/guardians and staff who may have had close contact. Those who are contacted will be asked to self isolate for 14 days.

Officials say all staff, parents and guardians of affected school communities were immediately notified. The health unit continues to investigate close contacts in order to follow-up with testing advice. Anyone who is not contacted is not considered to be at risk. The Thames Valley District School Board has announced a new case of COVID-19 coming out of Parkside Collegiate Institute in St. Thomas.
The positive case was confirmed by Southwestern Public Health and Thames Valley immediately notified staff, and parents and guardians of all Parkside Collegiate Institute students.
SWPH is currently investigating the case and is in the process of identifying close contacts.
Parkside previously has 2 other positive cases come out of the school that have since been resolved.
There is currently 1 active case at Summers’ Corners Public School, 1 case at New Sarum Public School, 2 cases at Davenport Public School, 1 case at Parkside Collegiate Institute, and 3 cases at East Elgin Secondary School.
