JCB Power Systems incorporates a combination of particulate control technology to meet EU Stage V regulations
Talk of electrification has frequently taken center stage in recent years when it comes to equipment power options, but it would be remiss to ignore the many positive attributes of the diesel engine. The diesel engine has evolved rapidly and significantly from its earliest iterations and today stands as a paragon of engineering ingenuity.

The first engine delivery is scheduled for May 2022. Korean shipyard, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, will build the vessels with delivery expected from April through December 2023. “With the investment in six ultra large container vessels we will not only be able to reduce slot costs and improve our competitiveness on the Europe – Far East trade, but also take a significant step forward in modernizing our fleet. Additionally we will further reduce our environmental impact,”
Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd said commenting on the order.
The newbuildings will be deployed on the Europe – Far East routes as part of THE Alliance and will significantly increase Hapag-Lloyd´s competitiveness in this trade. The engines will operate on LNG, but have sufficient tank capacity to operate alternatively on conventional fuel.

Among the few books that are interesting and inspirational, Alfred Sloan s My Years with General Motors lays out his brilliant managerial practices and provides insights into the new consumer economy that he and General Motors created over half a century ago. An entire era has gone by since, and we find ourselves in a situation that is uncannily similar to all great crises. And his words uttered in 1941 hold so true even today - It is astonishing what you can do when you have a lot of energy, ambition and plenty of ignorance.

The 50-metre yacht Project
Sapphire is on track for her June 2022 completion date. Heesen, the builderâs behind the new yacht, say the superstructure and her all-aluminium hull are now joined.

She also features an exterior design by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects who created a shape for the new 5000 Aluminium Class that represents the culmination of a ten-year programme of design development at Heesen.
