Burlington, Ia- The Des Moines County Sheriff's office has announced multiple arrests stemming from traffic stops. On Friday, March 5th, at approximately 1:09 AM, a deputy with the Des Moines County Sheriff's Office performed a traffic stop on a vehicle at Irish Ridge Rd and Golf Course Rd for a minor traffic infraction. The vehicle was driven by 21-year-old Meagan Elizabeth Miller of Fairfield, IA. Miller was issued a citation for driving while her license is suspended. In a subsequent search of the vehicle, deputies located two loaded 45 caliber handguns, one of them stolen out of Illinois, along with Methamphetamine. Deputies identified a back seat passenger as 26-year-old Joshua Duane Lee Dixon of Burlington, Ia. He has been charged with Carrying Weapons, Theft 3rd degree, Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dixon was taken to the Des Moines County Jail on a $5,000.00 bond. Also on Friday, March 5th at approximately 7:56 p.m.,

A 21-year-old autistic Iowa City man reported missing from his Plain View Drive home Saturday afternoon was located 24 hours later, miles away.
Iowa City police received a missing persons report around 4:30pm on Siraj White-Wright. He was last seen wearing a sweater, jeans and no coat. He reportedly left home on foot, and doesn’t drive.
On Sunday afternoon, calls came in about a possible sighting of White-Wright walking southbound on Highway 218. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department later got a call about a possible sighting of the man just South of Kalona at approximately 12:30am.
A motorist found White-Wright at approximately 4:45pm Sunday south of Burlington. He was reported to be in good condition, and arrangements were made for him to be reunited with his family.

Burlington, Ia- The Burlington Police Department has announced the arrest of a Burlington man on drug-related charges.
On Wednesday, January 20th, detectives with the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force and the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement, Burlington and West Burlington Police Departments, Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, and the Des Moines County Tactical Response Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the 1800 block of South 13th Street.
42-year-old Corey Dean Lowry of Burlington (Above) was arrested and charged with Possession with intent to deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine Base, and Drug Tax Stamp Violation.
