Alleged Oroville serial killer charged with 3 separate murders, attempted murder
A man from Oroville was charged with three separate murders and an attempted murder that occurred in May and June 2020.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A man was charged with three separate murders and attempted murder, said Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey.
37-year-old Ryan Blinston of Oroville was charged for the murders of Sandra George, Vicky Cline, Loreen Severs, and the attempted murder of Severs husband, Homer.
Ramsey and Tehama County District Attorney Matt Rogers combined all the cases and the multi-murder complaint would allow the district attorneys to pursue a life without the possibility of parole sentence.

Tehama DA: Red Bluff police justified in February 2020 shooting at apartment complex
Three Red Bluff policemen were justified in the shooting of a man with a long criminal history at the Meadow Vista Apartments in February 2020, Tehama County District Attorney Matt Rogers said Tuesday.
“Their use of lethal force was necessary and justified and no less lethal options were available in the opinion of this office, despite repeated pleas with (Alex Francisco) Vasquez to surrender peacefully,” Rogers said via a video he released announcing the findings.
Rogers said Vasquez, 38, a known gang member, went to the apartments in the early morning hours of Feb. 19 to intimidate a witness from testifying against “an associate of his.”
