Tehama County Sheriff s Office main building to be closed on Fridays
The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office has announced starting Friday, April 23, that its main office on 22840 Antelope Boulevard in Red Bluff will be closed to the public on all Fridays.

RED BLUFF, Calif. - The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office has announced starting Friday, April 23, that its main office on 22840 Antelope Boulevard in Red Bluff will be closed to the public on all Fridays.
On April 20, this resolution was presented and adopted by the Tehama Board of Supervisors.
This decision comes after a massive loss of employees over the last four years. The majority of which left for better-paying jobs.
The suspect threatened both the victims with a pistol, the sheriff s office said.
The first victim reported that the suspect threatened to shoot him if he did not provide him with items that were in his pocket. The victim said he had nothing on him, and the suspect left the scene on foot with nothing.
The second victim told investigators the suspect also pointed a pistol at him and demanded money. He gave the suspect the money in his pocket which was about $40 in cash, investigators said. The suspect then left the scene on foot.
In both cases, the suspect was described as a slender man, dressed in black, and wearing a ski mask, early to mid-20s; about 5’ 9,” and 120 to 140 lbs. according to the Tehama County Sheriff s Office. However, one victim described him as white, another said he was black.
New phone scam targeting registered sex offenders

TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. – Over the past week, the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office said it has been receiving calls of a phone scam targeting registered sex offenders.
The unknown caller contacts registered sex offenders purporting to be an employee of the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. The caller claims that there is a warrant for the arrest of the registered sex offender and demands that the registrant obtain a prepaid Visa card to pay the bail for the warrant.
Deputies searching for suspect identified in Tehama County diesel fuel thefts
Travis Banghart is currently being investigated as a suspect in recent fuel thefts across Tehama County. His whereabouts are unknown. The photo of him is from his most recent booking of being in possession of stolen property in 2020, according to TCSO.
