Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall over several places in Telangana, over the next five days.
In its five-day weather forecast issued on Wednesday, IMD has predicted that light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers very likely to occur at a few places over Telangana.
The Met department has also warned of the possibility of thunderstorms with lightning and accompanied by gusty winds with speeds ranging between 30 to 40 kilometres, on Wednesday, at isolated places across the state. Heavy rains are also predicted for several places.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik on Tuesday said the central government should take things seriously as the Kumbh Mela and elections can worsen the COVID-19 situation in the country.
Speaking to ANI, the minister said, “The COVID-19 cases increase due to mass gathering. In an election situation, there are thousands and thousands of people gathering together. Even in Kumbh Mela, lakhs of people gather together. The Government of India should take the matter seriously. Otherwise, the pandemic situation will worsen.”

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to list after two weeks a PIL seeking inquiry into the Rafale deal in the light of recent reports in a French news portal alleging payment of bribe by Dassault Aviation to an Indian middleman.
Advocate Manohar Lal Sharma, who filed by petition, mentioned the matter before the Chief Justice of India SA Bobde today.
Kumbh Mela: Lakhs take dip in Ganga amid rising Covid-19 cases
Masks were not worn by a large proportion and social distancing appeared impossible in an event in which, according to the mela administration, over 17 lakh people had taken a dip in the river in the first few hours up to 10 am.
