Andrea Love says she was hoping the province would announce a regional approach to reopening schools, allowing her three children to finish up their year in the classroom.
But the Arran-Elderslie resident said she was left shaking her head by Wednesday’s announcement by Ontario Premier Doug Ford that all schools will remain closed to in-person learning until September.

“I was not pleased. I think Doug Ford very much took urban children into his decision-making, but didn’t take into account the doctors’ opinions where they said regional openings are best,” she said Thursday.
