BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine India Review: Generous Legroom For Those Who Can t Buy a 5-Series

BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine India Review: Generous Legroom For Those Who Can t Buy a 5-Series FOLLOW US ON: BMW 3-Series has been the brand s marque that has garnered a lot of praise not only in India but globally. However, it faces serious challenge from segment best seller Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the onslaught for multiple luxury SUVs in the similar price bracket. To counter such competition, the Bavaria based carmaker introduced 3-Series Gran Coupe as a more lifestyle version of the 3-Series. However, that model has been discontinued globally and BMW is looking to replace it with another lifestyle oriented sedan. In comes the BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine. The extended wheelbase version promises better legroom and additional comfort and taps a big segment which is catered mostly by 5-Series and E-Class EWB. We got a chance to drive the model recently to understand what all BMW is offering in the Limo spec and how different it is from the regular 3-Series.

Review: BMW (F44) 2-Series GranCoupe 220d

Likes; - Interiors are very well put together and driver focussed. - Features & Tech Offered feels up to date & sufficiently future ready. - I personally like the Exteriors (Especially in the M Sport trim) & the overall GranCoupe-ness of this package. Dislikes; - Ride Quality is below average courtesy the 18 Rims & Runflats. - Value proposition thanks to it being closely priced to the 3 er is low. - Handling & Steering is good for a FWD car surely & a good attempt BUT it Needed an AWD system at this price (& torque level), would have changed a lot of psyche around this car & could have attracted the enthusiasts as well.

America, Meet Your Very First Front-Wheel Drive BMW Sedan: The $35k 228i Gran Coupe

BMW has expanded the 2-Series Gran Coupe range in the United States by adding a front-wheel drive version. This is the first FWD BMW sedan to be offered on this side of the Atlantic (the Bavarians also offer the FWD X1 sDrive SUV). The new 228i sDrive Gran Coupe serves as the new entry-level model. It is positioned under the 228i xDrive Gran Coupe and, with a starting price of $35,700, it undercuts it by $2,000. Like its all-wheel drive sibling, it’s powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 228 HP and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. This engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, yet since it now directs the power to the front, instead of all four, wheels, the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint takes 6.3 seconds instead of 6.0.
