Taipei, May 7 (CNA) Taiwanese carrier China Airlines (CAL) will be fined NT$1 million (US$35,800) by the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA) for failing to manage a dormitory for flight crew members in home quarantine, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said Friday.
The CAA will impose the fine for violating the Civil Aviation Act and Aircraft Flight Operation Regulations for its failure to carry out quarantine and health management measures related to its flight crews, Health Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中), who heads the CECC, said at a press briefing.
4 city areas at risk of dengue
Says DGHS survey in 69 wards of Dhaka north, south city corporations
Four areas of the capital are at risk of dengue infection due to the presence of Aedes mosquitoes, which are carriers of the disease.
The areas are: Lalmatia and Iqbal Road under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Sayedabad and North Jatrabari of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), revealed a survey of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) published on Thursday.
National Malaria Elimination and Aedes Transmitted Disease Control Programme of the Communicable Disease Control unit of the DGHS conducted the survey from March 29 to April 7 at 70 sites of 69 wards of the two city corporations.

Institutionalizing governing body for health crisis prevention and management sought as Bong Go files bill creating Center for Disease Control and Prevention
On Tuesday, May 4, Senator and Chair of the Senate Committee on Health Christopher Bong Go filed Senate Bill No. 2158 which seeks to create a government agency that will assume the responsibility of protecting the lives of millions of Filipinos by monitoring, tracking, responding to, and mitigating outbreaks of infectious diseases and other public health emergencies in the country.
This is one of the priority measures mentioned by President Rodrigo Duterte in his State of the Nation Address last year.
