HONG KONG, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) Hong Kong s Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported 28 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, taking its total tally to 10,399.
The new cases included 26 local infections, of which six had an unknown origin. There were also over 40 cases tested positive preliminarily, according to a CHP press briefing.
Albert Au, principal medical and health officer of the CHP s Communicable Disease Branch, said to the media that although the number of daily new cases dropped on Saturday, one cannot rely on single-day figures to assess the epidemic situation.
