The Labour Party is on course to lose a key Red Wall seat in next month’s Hartlepool by-election, as a new poll shows the Tories taking a seven-point lead.
A telephone poll by Survation showed the Tory candidate, Jill Mortimer, has support from 49 per cent of voters while Labour’s Paul Williams has just 42 per cent.
