2021 International Women’s Day Celebrating Achievements

Today is International Women’s Day (IWD) – a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality.
Marked annually March 8, IWD is one of the most important days of the year to:

International Women’s Day (IWD) has been observed since the early 1900s – a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies.
More support for local charities

The Durham Region Association of Realtors (DRAR) are supporting local charities.
The organization has raised more than $45,000 for its four Charities of Choice for 2020 in Durham Region, which are Dreams & Wishes Children’s Charity, Luke’s Place, Nanny Angel Network, and Shine Through the Rain.
“Realtors play meaningful roles in the communities they work and live. From donating money to a cause, volunteering at local charities in the community, or raising awareness for those in need, the generosity of realtors truly knows no bounds,” says DRAR President Michael Watson. “During these unprecedented times, they need our support more than ever.”
