AMPANG: Police have recorded statements from eight individuals, including the organiser of the tahnik ceremony for the second child of singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza.
NILAI: TV host-entrepreneur Neelofa will be called in to give a statement at the district police station here after she allegedly made an interstate trip to shop at Nilai 3, says OCPD Supt Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman.
He said 32-year-old Neelofa’s televangelist husband, Muhammad Haris Muhammad Ismail, 26, will also be asked to come in after pictures and a video clip of the couple shopping at a carpet shop here went viral on social media.
“We started our probe after the pictures and video clip of the couple, believed to be at a premises at the Nilai 3 Business Centre, went viral.
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have opened an investigation into the tahnik ceremony for the second child of popular singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza.
In a statement Monday (May 3), Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said police detected an article from a news portal on the dissatisfaction of social media users over the tahnik ceremony which was held at the celebrity s residence at Bukit Antarabangsa here. Several pictures were also posted with the article showing the attendance of a number of VVIPs and a renowned religious preacher. The article also stated that the VVIPs and preacher attended the ceremony without police permits for interstate travel as they stay outside of Selangor, he said.

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Police arrested 21 Myanmar nationals for participating in a “water festival” in front of a house in Taman Bidara here yesterday.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief ACP Shafee Abd Samad said acting on public complaints, police raided the place at 2.30 pm and found the group dancing and spraying water from rubber hoses on one another.
He said those arrested included a woman, and they were aged between 20 and 30.
“They were noisy and dancing to music blaring in the background. They were neither practising social distancing nor wearing face masks,” he said when contacted today.
Police seize drugs worth RM900k in Klang Valley

SHAH ALAM – Police have crippled a drug smuggling and distribution syndicate after detaining two local and two foreign men in three raids on Wednesday (Feb 3).
Selangor acting police chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said they also seized various drugs worth RM900,750 and two cars during the raids, which were conducted in Puchong Jaya, Kuchai Lama and Cheras beginning from 4 pm.

“We detained a local man and two foreigners in the first raid at a parking lot in Puchong.
“We found 13 Chinese tea packets containing a drug believed to be syabu weighing 13.39 kilogrammes (kg) worth RM602,550 and 13,900 ecstasy pills in 13 plastic packets valued at RM250,200.
