Efforts on to restore utility services in North Batinah SHARE Muscat: Within the framework of the national efforts of the Sultan s Armed Forces (SAF) and other departments, the engineering services at the Ministry of Defence activated its operational plan to deal with the effects of the weather situation in North al Batinah Governorate, by sending generators to restore the electricity supply. The engineering services sent heavy equipment to reopen roads and remove waste, pumps for water suction, and sewage tankers, while specialists continue to assess the situation and provide technical support to citizens and residents. The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) said efforts are underway to restore telecommunications services in the governorates of North and South al-Batinah, which have been affected by the weather.

A statement issued online said: “The training program includes the first batch of 35 trainees and has been launched with the aim of providing training opportunities for students to enable them to meet the requirements of the market and to provide them with the necessary experience.” “It is worth noting that this training program aims to enhance the capabilities and skills of graduates of information technology and communication engineering as part of the agreement signed by the Ministry of Labour and Huawei at the end of last year, to train and qualify 300 graduates of information technology and communications engineering during a period of 3 years,” added the statement.
