Man files lawsuit against Buffalo Public Schools over robocalls

BUFFALO, N.Y. On this warm June morning, Alphonso Clark could be found sitting on his front porch attending to his cellphone.
Clark is 61 years old and retired, living in Buffalo’s Fillmore-Leroy neighborhood.
He is also suing Buffalo Public Schools. The issue is robocalls.
In a federal lawsuit filed last week, Clark alleges he received over 50 recorded messages from three city schools. According to the lawsuit, the calls ranged from after-school programs, COVID vaccination opportunities, summer school offerings, and unexcused absences.
