In what looks like a scene out of a Bollywood flick, 16 prisoners escaped from Phalodi jail in Rajasthan s Jodhpur district on Monday night by putting chilli powder in the prison staff s eyes.
The prisoners then proceeded to make a daring escape in a Scorpio that had been parked strategically, right outside prison premises.
DG Jail Rajeev Dasot reached Phalodi and told IANS said that four staff members have been suspended with immediate effect and the investigation handed over to deputy IG Surendra Singh Shekhawat.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot s resignation after the state government admitted that phones were indeed “intercepted” during the Gehlot-Pilot political crisis in the state last year.
The principal
opposition party in the desert state also sought CBI enquiry into the matter after the Gehlot-led state government s admission.

Jaipur, March 10 : The Rajasthan and Central governments seem to be engaged in a new tussle regarding the supply and availability of the Covid-19 vaccines in the state.
State Health Minister Raghu Sharma, on Tuesday morning, delivered a shock to everybody by claiming that the availability of vaccination doses is limited in the state and that may last only for a day or two.
He also urged the Centre to supply the fresh consignment of doses expressing fear that the work may be stopped otherwise.
