West Pakistan Refugees Action Committee from J-K meets Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in New Delhi on Thursday.
West Pakistan Refugees Action Committee from Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday met Union Minister Jitendra Singh and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for granting them citizenship rights after a long wait of over seven decades , according to the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
Labbha Ram Gandhi, President of West Pakistan Refugees Action Committee also submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister.
Reform in disability compensation
7th Pay Commission: The central government has decided to extend disability compensation to all its serving employees. It will be applicable if they get disabled in the line of duty and are still retained in service despite their disability. This is in line with the efforts of the government to simplify the rules and rectify discriminatory clauses. Source: Reuters

7th Pay Commission: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Friday (January 1) said that this change will bring a huge relief to the young Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel including Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), among others.
