Union Minister Nitin Gadkari says the government is focussing on creating 5 crore government jobs.
Union Road Transport and Highways and MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Tuesday that the government is trying to create five crore jobs in the next five years. He said that the turnover of rural industries is Rs 80,000 crore, which is targeted to be Rs 5 lakh crore in the next five years. For this, work is going on in a planned way in agriculture and rural areas.
The Union Minister was speaking at the Agri-Food Processing Summit organised by the Agrovision Foundation through virtual medium. On this occasion, he said that the Central government s schemes will create employment opportunities in agriculture and food processing in the near future.

Nitin Gadkari On Farmers Protest, Said Farmers Will Get Justice; Shall Listen To Their Suggestions Dec 15, 2020, 17:27 IST
Addressing the ongoing farmers protest, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the Government is ready to listen to the farmers. They will accept all the suggestions that these farmers have and will take decisions that are in interest of the farmers.
He said that Farmers should come and understand these laws. Our government is dedicated to farmers and is ready to accept all good suggestions given by them. There will not be any injustice with farmers in our government.
Gadkari added that they will help the farmers in understanding everything. It will take some time. Our government will convince the farmers, explain and find a way through dialogue.”

With no end to the deadlock between protesting farmers and the government even after multiple rounds of talks, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the photograph of a person who supports the Naxalite movement was seen during the farmers agitation against the three new farm laws. I m not speaking of all farmers and farmer organisations, but I want to ask you something. In our Gadchiroli district, near Nagpur, in Vidarbha, a person who supports the Naxalite movement was investigated. The court also did not grant him bail. How did his photo appear in this movement? What is his link to farming and farmers? Mr Gadkari told NDTV when asked about his stand that an attempt is being to mislead the farmers over the laws.
