New Delhi [India], January 18 (ANI): The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has summoned Amazon Prime Video officials in India in connection with the controversy around the web series Tandav , sources said on Sunday.
This comes after two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders alleged that the Saif Ali Khan-starrer web series Tandav hurts Hindu religious sentiments.
BJP leader Ram Kadam on Sunday said that he has filed a complaint at Mumbai s Ghatkopar Police Station against Tandav . He alleged that the series has hurt the sentiments of Hindus and he would not tolerate this.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the industrial corridors at Krishnapatnam and Tumkuru, announced Union Minister Prakash Jawadekar at a press briefing.
Multi Modal Transport Hub and Multi Modal Logistics Hub at Dadri were also approved by the Cabinet, Jawadekar announced.
The proposals have an estimated cost of Rs.7,725 crore. Union Minister also announced that the proposals have an employment generation potential of 2.8 lakh.
Further, the minister also announced the Cabinet s approval for opening Indian consulates in Dominic Republic, Paraguay, and Estonia.

Direct flight services between Shillong, Delhi launched
Meghalaya was connected with the national capital by direct flight services on Monday, coinciding with the state reopening for tourists after remaining closed for nine months due to COVID-19 outbreak, an official said.

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved assistance of Rs 3,500 crore to sugarcane farmers. The fund would be directly credited into the accounts of the farmers. The government said that the decision would benefit 5 crore sugarcane farmers, their dependents, as well as 5 lakh workers employed in the sugar mills and related ancillary activities.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the Rs 3,500 crore assistance.
