The seaplane service from Ahmedabad to Kevadia launched in October last year is back in action again after being suspended for the third time as it had gone for maintenance to its home country the Maldives. The 15-seater Twin Otter 300 seaplane was flown back to the Maldives on 3 February.

New Delhi: Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday announced that the stranded seafarers of MV Anastasia will be coming back to India on February 14. The crew will sign off from Japan today and will reach India on Sunday.
The latest development comes after, the Ministry of External Affairs on February 4 said that after continuous follow up by the Indian embassy in Beijing, China has conveyed their clearance on the transfer of the crew of cargo ship MV Anastasia.

Minister denies charge that it will lead to privatisation.
The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday passed the Major Ports Authority Bill, 2020 with 84 votes in favour and 44 against.
In a long reply, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the Bill aimed to make the ports world class and give the port authorities power to make their own decisions. He denied the Opposition’s charge that it would lead to privatisation.
