Patna, Dec 21 : While the opposition parties are supporting the farmers agitation against the three new farm laws enacted by the Central government, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a Kisan Chaupal campaign in Bihar to stem the increasing criticism arising from the farmers agitation. The BJP through this campaign is informing and explaining to the farmers about the benefits of the farm laws.

New Delhi [India], December 18 (ANI): Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, on Friday, slammed the Centre by questioning that if social activist Anna Hazare can rally in the national capital, then why farmers are not allowed to enter Delhi and stage the protest.
Speaking to ANI, the leader said, Anna Hazare was allowed to protest at Delhi s Ram Lila Maidaan. Rajiv Gandhi ji too had witnessed a similar farmers protest in his regime wherein they protested at Janpath for a month. Then, why is the Centre not allowing these farmers inside Delhi?

New Delhi [India], December 18 (ANI): A day after a farmer in Mayapuri village of Uttar Pradesh s Shamli district destroyed his standing crop of cauliflowers, claiming that he was being forced to sell his produce at Rs 1 kilogram much below the cost price, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday instructed the Common Service Centre (CSC) team to contact the farmers there and one of them later sold cauliflower at Rs 10 per kilogram digitally.
