In a joint letter dated January 15, 2021 addressed to members of the UN Human Rights Council they observed, “Leaders across the political spectrum in Sri Lanka including from both the major political parties have categorically and without exception stated that they will protect the Sri Lankan armed forces from prosecutions. It is now time for Member States to acknowledge that there is no scope for a domestic process that can genuinely deal with accountability in Sri Lanka.”

The Union Health Minister was in Chennai on Friday to review the State’s COVID-19 vaccine dry run
The electronic vaccine intelligence network (eVIN), now converted into a CoWIN platform, is now tracking details of potential beneficiaries for the COVID-19 vaccine, the place where he/she is likely to get the vaccination, pre and post-vaccination including issuing an electronic certificate, following up for the second dose through detailed text messages and reminders, according to Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.

New Delhi: As India gears up for a massive COVID-19 vaccination drive, private investigators body APDI has formed an international alliance to check circulation of fake vaccines. An initiative of Delhi-based Association of Private Detectives and Investigators (APDI), the Global Alliance Against Fake Vaccine (GAFV) has been formed comprising professional investigators from 16 countries, while more are likely to join this international campaign initiated from India.
