Dehradun: Following the remarks made by Ramdev regarding allopathy doctors, the
Indian Medical Association (
IMA)-Uttarakhand division has demanded strict action against the Yoga Guru.
IMA state unit, President Dr Ajay Khanna said that a letter has been sent to the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary on Monday evening in this regard. In the letter, it is written that there is a lot of resentment among the IMA doctors against the statement of
Baba Ramdev. The
Union Health Minister has also sent a notice to Ramdev on the same stating that the statement is considered incorrect , Dr Khanna told ANI.

New Delhi: Founder of Patanjali Ayurved Baba Ramdev has withdrawn offensive remarks on allopathic medicine. Under pressure from Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan as well as the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Ramdev said that he was withdrawing his statements criticising allopathic medicines.
Citing a video circulating on social media, the IMA on Saturday said Ramdev has claimed that allopathy is a stupid science and medicines such as Remdesivir, Faviflu, and other drugs approved by the Drugs Controller General of India have failed to treat COVID-19 patients.

. Dr Harsh Vardhan informed that several states in India are currently witnessing cases of black fungus. However, he also assured that the Centre has taken action regarding the infection with relevant advice from the experts.
No reported case of COVID-19 transmission from animals to humans: PETA ANI | Updated: May 24, 2021 08:41 IST
New Delhi [India], May 24 (ANI): Amidst the prevailing COVID-19 situation, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has informed that there has been no reported case of transmission of COVID-19 from animals to human beings.
While speaking to ANI, PETA India CEO, Manilal Valliyate said, There is no reported case of transmission of COVID-19 from animals to human beings as of today, particularly from the companion animals like dogs, cats and also from the community animal.
However, the PETA official indicated that the vice-versa i.e. transmission of COVID-19 from humans to animals can be possible.
