New Delhi [India], January 14 (ANI): Self-reliant India does not mean boycotting foreign goods but believing in the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and only a self-reliant nation can make its nation paramount, said Union Health MinisterHarsh Vardhan on Thursday.
Addressing a webinar organised by Swarjya Magazine, Health Minister said, Atmanirbhar Bharat has become one of the focal areas of our government, around which all economic policies are being drawn up. Our government is focused on bridging the gap between the rich and the poor and on providing equal opportunity to all citizens.
Mr. Vardhan said the ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ package for the health sector, worth ₹60,000 crore, will strengthen delivery of healthcare services across the full continuum of care.
COVID warriors in no rush, want refuse , delay option on Centre s CoWin-20 app
CoWin-20 app
Mumbai: Doctors and healthcare workers (HCWs) believe that the Central Government s app CoWin-20 should include a refusal and delay option, so that they can opt out before being registered on the application.
Recently, in a meeting with the Union Health Minister, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope also pointed out the need for a reject option in the application. Health experts say, since registration for the vaccine drive is voluntary, HCWs may or may not register for it. But if they do register, then they are required to take both doses. Moreover, there should also be a delay option in case someone is not ready to take the vaccine in the first phase but can take it in the second phase.
Congress parliamentarian Manish Tewari made a pointed query to the Union Health Minister through a tweet: “Till yesterday NDA/BJP claimed Covaxin has been cleared for emergency use. Today by not allowing the recipient to pick a vaccine of his choice, is NDA/BJP making Guinea pigs out of Indians @drharshvardhan? Is roll out The REAL Phase-3 Trial of Covaxin?”
